For this week’s community spotlight, meet Brandon "WizKidShannon" Shannon! An American currently serving in the Air Force overseas, streaming provides him with an outlet to meet lots of new people across the globe. Part of his motivation for streaming are all the people he's met through it, as well as the community he's built along the way.

For Brandon, streaming is his way of giving back to others by making them happy through his content. As someone who likes to put others before himself,  he wants to let people -- especially friends -- know that he's always there for them "no matter what it is  and no matter what time of day".

What a wholesome dude, right? We sat down with Brandon a couple of weeks ago to learn more about his story, his mindset behind streaming and his plans for the future.

Here's what he had to say!

How did your streaming journey start?

My streaming journey started in Dec of 2018. One of my co workers was a streamer and it got me into streaming. I actually built my first PC to start streaming!

What are some of the most memorable moments of your streaming career?

My most memorable achievement so far would have to be getting raided on twitch by a partnered streamer named Kismet.

My most difficult challenge was not really knowing where to start. I was already streaming for 8 months when Pipeline showed up.

If I knew a lot of the basics that Pipeline teaches you when I started, I would've had a better understanding of streaming and how to do it.

What do you wish you knew when you were starting out?

Don't forget to take time for yourself. Your mental and physical health are more important than streaming all the time. Schedule time off and don't stream 7 days a week / 12 hours plus a day. You will get burnt out super quick and you lose motivation if you do.

What motivates you to keep streaming? Is this something you see doing for a long while?

What motivates me is the community and the people I have met through streaming and gaming. Most of my gaming/streamer friends are more like a family to me than anything. Building a bigger community and meeting more like minded people is what drives me to do this for the long haul!

What defines you as a content creator?

What defines me most would be that I can have fun and be series when I need to. I've been told that when I do get mad at games, my cursing and my reactions add comedic value to my stream!

What are your goals for the future? Long term and short term?

My short term goal is to build a bigger community. Get to 1000 followers on twitch and get 100 subs on YouTube. Long term goal would be working towards partnership

Any shoutouts you'd like to do?

Big shoutout to JuJu energy for being my first sponsor and showing me my hard work was noticed. You can find me at or my StreamerTree link at

Thank you to Brandon for agreeing to do this interview! It's been awesome seeing him grow and we hope he continues growing even more!
