How To Run Community Events
Snoopeh-Profile
by Snoopeh

Have you ever run an event for your community?

As you grow your audience, one of the best ways to strengthen your community is through community events.

There are many kinds of events you can run for your community; you can run tournaments playing round robin or double elimination matches, have a watch party, or play team games.

As connected as we are, we’re still pretty disconnected. Humans will forever crave authentic human connections, and facilitating these connections will pay off tremendously.

It's been proven that building a sense of community creates retention within that community. But how do you build a sense of community? By making your community members feel that they belong, that they matter, and that their needs are being met.

Foster strong connections within your community and you're going to have a much easier time building a return audience.

Every other week our Pipeline staff gets together and plays a game that everyone can play. Among Us is a top pick, and Flo (our dev) is super sus. It's a great way to connect with the team and build relationships beyond our professional sphere.

You can do the same with your community! Pick a date and time and post the event on social media - invite your community to join you for a party game and meet on your Discord server. Test out different games, event strategies, and see what works best for your community!
